Creating Lists

Start from scratch

Tap "New" in the navigation. Give your list a title, pick a voting mode, and choose who can see it. That's it — you're live.

Create a list

Use a template

Start from a pre-built template for common scenarios — restaurant picks, trip planning, team decisions, gift registries, and more.

Visibility

Private lists are for you and invited collaborators. Unlisted lists are accessible to anyone with the link. Public lists appear on the Explore page.

Unlisted is the default — perfect for sharing with friends via link

Categories & tags

Add a category and tags to organize your list. Public lists require a category so they're discoverable on the Explore page.

Voting Modes

Upvote

The simplest mode. Everyone upvotes their favorites. Items sort by total votes — the best ideas rise to the top.

Great for: restaurant picks, movie night, brainstorming

Up / Downvote

Like upvote, but participants can also downvote. Items rank by net score (upvotes minus downvotes) so controversial picks surface honestly.

Great for: opinionated groups, product feature prioritization

1Best idea
2Runner up
3Third pick

Ranked

Drag items into your personal ranking. The system aggregates everyone's rankings to find the group consensus order.

Great for: final decisions, top-N picks, awards

Buy decorations
Order cake
Send invites

Checklist

Not a vote — a shared to-do list. Check items off as you complete them. A progress bar shows how much is done.

Great for: event planning, packing lists, project tasks

Wishlist / Claim

Each item can be claimed by one person. Perfect for gift registries, potluck signups, and volunteer coordination. Enable "secret claims" to hide who claimed what from the list owner.

Date Poll

Find the best date for your group. Items are dates — participants vote Yes, Maybe, or No on each one. A calendar picker lets you select multiple dates at once by tapping or dragging. The date with the most Yes votes gets a "Best" crown.

Great for: scheduling meetups, events, dinners, trips

Set a time slot duration (30min, 1hr, etc.) for timed polls, or leave it as all-day

Connect your Google Calendar to see free/busy overlays on each date

Adding Items

Add one by one

Tap "Add an item" at the bottom of your list. Give it a title and optionally a description, images, and links.

Bulk paste

Paste multiple lines and they'll each become a separate item. A preview lets you confirm before adding them all at once.

Paste a list from Notes, a message, or a spreadsheet

Images & links

Attach up to 5 images and 10 links per item. Links automatically fetch a preview with title, description, and thumbnail.

Location

Add a location to items — great for restaurant lists, travel plans, and event venues. Locations display with a map pin.

Allow anonymous items

When enabled, anyone with the link can add items without an account. They enter a name and start contributing.

Sharing & Collaboration

Anonymous voting

Visitors don't need an account. They enter their name and can immediately vote. No friction, no signup wall.

Blind voting

Hide all vote counts until the deadline passes or you manually reveal. Prevents groupthink — everyone votes independently.

Vote limits

Limit how many votes each person gets. Forces participants to choose their true favorites instead of upvoting everything.

Voting deadlines

Set a deadline and a countdown timer appears on the list. Voting automatically closes when time's up. Blind voting results reveal automatically.

Recurring lists

Automatically create a fresh copy of your list on a weekly or monthly schedule. Perfect for recurring team decisions.

Email to list

Forward emails to your list's unique address and they become items automatically. Great for collecting suggestions on the go.

Scheduled publish

Set a future date and your list automatically goes public. Useful for announcements, reveals, and timed launches.

Calendar integration

Connect your Google Calendar to date polls and instantly see which dates you're free or busy. A colored border and badge appear on each date card — green for free, red for busy, amber for partial conflicts.

Only you see your calendar data — it's private

Disconnect anytime from the date poll header
